Your Newborn Baby Sleeping, eating, crying, cooing—your new arrival will keep you busy. You'll soon figure out his or her patterns and preferences. |
The Women's Services Center at Lake Granbury Medical Center provides an inviting environment where patients and their families receive patient-centered care.
The center has three labor and delivery rooms, five post-partum rooms and eight nursery beds. The patient rooms are private and beautifully decorated to create a home-like ambiance. The rooms are also large to better accommodate patient care and comfortably provide for visiting family members.
The center is equipped with sophisticated patient-care equipment and monitoring systems. Our expectant moms receive continuous monitoring as does the new arrival. Your baby's heartbeat and vital signs can be monitored closely and continuously in the birthing suite and from the nursing station by our nursing staff. An enhancement of our system allows monitoring by your physician by his or her office as well.
The nursery has a large viewing window and private exam room. It has also been equipped with life-sustaining technology for those new arrivals that need special attention or simply arrive earlier than planned or anticipated. Located within the center is a fully-equipped operating room should a C-Section be necessary. The safety and security fo our guests is very important to us - therefore, the entire center is monitored by a sophisticated security system that prevents the entry of unauthorized people.
Lake Granbury Medical Center is proud of our warm-hearted nursing staff and the service abilities that allow us to provide compassionate care for the residents of our community -- particularly the newest members.
