Dr. Todd Belott specializes in weight-loss surgery and has more than 16 years experience. His focus is helping patients become healthy through lifestyle changes, with surgery as the first step toward a new life.
The goal for patients is not only weight-loss, but also reducing or eliminating health problems associated with obesity. These include chronic conditions such as type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, sleep apnea and lipid disorders.
Dr. Belott also specializes in minimally-invasive procedures, which typically result in less scarring and anesthesia as well as a faster recovery (compared to traditional surgery). A majority of laproscopic and robotic assisted surgery patients are discharged within 24 hours of their procedure. Most are able to return to work within one or two weeks of their surgeries.
