BIRTH Day Orientation
LGMC offers BIRTH Day Orientation in conjunction with the online childbirth program. This orientation is held the first Saturday of every month from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and includes a short presentation about what to expect when you're in the hospital, a question and answer session, car seat safety, safe sleep tips and a tour of the department. This is a unique opportunity to learn more about the facility and what to expect.
Comfort Measure: Coping Strategies for Labor
This class is designed to help both partners build confidence for the big day. You will learn comfort measures such as relaxation techniques and massage as well as communication skills for labor. The keepsake workbook that comes with this workshop is one you will want to spend time with for the duration of the pregnancy. This class does not replace a childbirth education course.
The course is taught by Andrea Brannock. Andrea has been a Birth Boot Camp educator, doula and childbirth educator since 2013. Andrea is passionate about helping couples have a positive birth experience.
The class is open to expecting couples and is beneficial at any stage of pregnancy. However, late second or third trimester may be best.
This class is FREE to families anticipating a delivery at Lake Granbury Medical Center and registration is required.
