Freestanding Emergency Facility
Lake Granbury Medical Center has purchased land at the corner of Highway 377 and Fall Creek Highway with plans to construct a freestanding emergency facility (FSED).
The $15 million facility will house an emergency department staffed 24/7 by emergency medicine physicians, seven exam rooms, including a negative airflow room to contain the spread of airborne infections, a major treatment room, as well as a decontamination room, triage and results-waiting areas, an onsite laboratory and diagnostic imaging services.
Patients with emergent and potentially life-threatening conditions, including heart attacks, strokes, head injuries, fractures, abdominal pain, respiratory issues, and more, will benefit from this convenient location and the access it provides to Lake Granbury Medical Center's critical care services. As a department of Lake Granbury Medical Center, the freestanding emergency department will accept the same insurance plans, including commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid, for the convenience of patients.
Groundbreaking is expected in the summer of 2023, with anticipated completion in May of 2024.
